You are going to have a fantastic time. I’ve been six or seven times and it is so gorgeous. Make time to visit the Louvre. So many people visit to see the Mona Lisa but there is so much more to see. Musee D’Orsay is a hidden gem. Take a stroll down the Champs Elysee and choose one of the great restaurants to have a relaxing dinner and visit Guerlain and Sephora if you like make-up. If you have time please visit Galerie Lafayette for lunch. The food is great. You can choose from grilled salmon to a simple salad. There are great views of Paris and this is where so many locals ‘do lunch.’ Spend time looking around this store. It is simply stunning with its Art Nouveau design. If you have time for a day trip please visit Versailles. You will never forget the experience.
If you haven’t book a hotel have a think about renting an apartment for your break. It is a fabulous experience. You will do what the locals do and visit the supermarkets etc and get a true taste of Paris.
Writing this is making me want to take another trip to Paris.

Ha ha….. honestly I found Paris grungy when I first landed there….. it was around August, so summer was at its peak…. but the stretch around Sienne – nothing beats that… London is little more organized and formal as compared to Paris…. I liked the rawness of Paris…

Only the young and thin can get away dressed like that…When I was there I didn’t see anyone over the age of 50 even approaching “hip” (myself included). But I do miss it, was a wonderful time.
I got the chance to go to Paris last Summer. Seeing the Louvre was amazing!~ I recommend booking a private tour/ only about 15 in our group. I used American Express Travel- Concierge Service.

That baguette brings back memories of our strolls in Paris. We plan to return next year. I love the way many fashionable Europeans dress. Would love to have that “look” – not the young man’s above, but he does look cool – even though I am over 50.
I just re-created a similar pair of Swiss army pants for my husband! Also Japanese -ha!

Had the good fortune of visiting Paris a few years back. Although I could “live” in the Louvre for a month or more, I must preferred the South of France near Frayssinet. Went there on an artist retreat and was ready to move there.
Cool photo – cool city. Brings back memories for me – including a mach = 18 sprint around the Louvre before rushing off to Paris Nord to catch the train (and no, you can’t do it the way Dan Brown seems to think). Thanks for sharing.

Louvre is certainly a very beautiful place. If you want you can also visit Lakeside in Nepal. This is such a beautiful place. You’d love it I promise.
